GridPro class schedule(Dates changed) - Jan 30, 2004GridPro is an automatic object orientated multiblock generator that provides high quality, rapid grid generation. The President and founder, Dr. Peter Eiseman, has led the Program Development Corporation (PDC) to develop a solid suite of Grid Pro products with significant international presence and high-profile customer base. Lockheed Martin Technical Operations has joined with the PDC to provide the training to help the engineering community meet needs in grid generation, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and structural analysis GridPro is a high fidelity tool that:
We are offering classes and invite you to attend to learn more about this grid generation tool. The classes offer training sessions that cover the use of the tool as well as hands on problem solving. The course, part lecture and part workshop, will help students learn Grid Pro with ease. Each student receives a soft and hard copy of manuals and tutorials as well as a 60-day trial copy of the software that includes issuance of a license. A help desk is also available to answer user questions. Three classes are currently scheduled: February 23 - 26 2004, March 22 - 25, 2004 and 17 - 20 May 2004. We also offer on site training to meet your needs. Contact LMTO at 408-756-5010 or yota.cardaris@lmco.com to learn more about the tool and the class. Present users of GridPro can download the latest version from our website. Remember to save your old license file and ask for the decrypting password before you proceed to install the new version. Version 4.2 Released - June 21, 2002GridPro Version 4.2 has undergone successful tests in all platforms and has been released officially. If you are current customer of GridPro and would like to upgrade your version, please download the relevant files based on your Operating System and Hardware, and contact us at support@gridpro1.com for the decrypting key. Please go to the download section to download the latest version of GridPro. Some tutorial files and the manuals have also been given in the download section. The Example_Cases section will feature some grid files in common formats like Nastran and Plot3D formats of some cases solved using GridPro. At present the example cases section is still undergoing construction, but we will have the cases out there for you to download and view soon. Version 4.2 of GridPro to be released soon - May 21, 2002GridPro Version 4.2 is being tested on all the major platforms and will be formally released soon. The new version will include support for more solver formats ( CGNS, DTF etc), finalized and debugged versions of features like Group Linking and Regional linking, a new wrap feature called internal wrap which automates topology creation for capturing features like fault lines, a new aspect ratio check option in GridPro's qchk, and an option for custom defined length scale for wrap. The new version also supports porting to and debugging on newer platforms such as HP-UX 11.00, Win2000 and WinXP, and some more debugs and fixes. Nested Refinement - April 15, 2002A new utility called Nest is being developed and will be released soon. Nest will create recursively nested topology automatically to handle tiny features in your geometry. The resulting grid is a pure high quality multi-block hex grid with no hanging nodes or bad cells. The utility will help in resolving the tiny features, while keeping the cell count the same at other places. Very thin blade edges, thin pipes in oil wells, thin blood vessels are some examples where nest can provide a fast and elegant solution to your problem. GridPro/CadFix - April 1, 2002PDC and Transcendata have partnered to release GridPro/CadFix. Official since april 2002, GridPro/Cadfix will allow users of GridPro to import IGES files as well as Native CAD formats into GridPro. For more information please contact us. |
